First of all I would like to thank you most sincerely for the many birthday SMS and emails. Me really over the moon!
Normally I spend my birthday so for about 20 years in Miramar. This time it should be different ...

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel for $ 3 I shared a taxi with three Puerto Ricans and then the beautiful "Old San Juan" viewed with its two fortresses (pictures and details to follow). Back at the hotel took a shower, go down on the sun deck of the hotel and observed in the spa (Jacuzzi) the sunset. For dinner, there was still a 16 ounze T-Bone steak. Finally, I will think of the evening with a glass of red wine and to all my dear friends ...

While accelerated the launch from the Miami Flying as usual and then braked suddenly. The pilot told us, it appears that a small fault had occurred, he want to check quickly. Conclusion: 90 minutes delayed. Once in Hotel Coral Princess Inn in San Juan I moved into first, a small room with no windows, next to the entrance doors and the noisy elevator. And for 139 $ U.S. / night. After two complaints to the reception I got a new room because none was free. I then checked out from other hotels by availability. Back at the hotel I wanted to talk to the manager, who was not currently reach. The came after about 30 minutes drive. In my note to try to change hotels, was suddenly a very nice room for me free. She has apologized many times for the inconvenience. Got a free upgrade to a large double bedroom on the second floor to get. I was satisfied then placed in the Jucuzzi bath and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Happy Birthday, Jochen! I hope you have today in San Juan a great day, the right environment to party and at least half as nice as other people around you on your birthday parties. :-) Enjoy the last weeks of your trip and let you not to spoil the mood of expensive hotels. Everyday life has you here again soon enough ... ;-)
Is usually the guest book, would be too late but viiiieeeel appear (because you can get out of control nothing ... * grin *), and then were some who did not think too late to congratulate .... no, wait, that was before always just me. ;-) So this time and time related: HAPPY BIRTHDAY :-)

Actually, I should be in timetables already in Puerto Rico. But canceled at short notice (day of departure) my reservation and my flight to San Juan on the 24th April down. Had problems, affordable and beautiful accommodation found on the Internet. The weekend was hardly anything to get and I did not land at night in San Juan and then look around for accommodation have to. According to some reviews from hotel guests, it is quite possible that you are in the best hotel (under $ 100 U.S.) ever have to share the bed or bath with Kakelaken. When this happens in Fiji and I have paid for the property under 20 $ U.S., then that's acceptable. But not at 70 to 80 $ U.S. $ U.S..
have therefore extended my time in the beautiful South Beach in Miami for three days. Am for $ 60 US / night Clay Hotel / Hostel in a simple room (dorms were all booked up) seen. Apart from that the refrigerator and the air conditioner to "bet rattle" is the room in order (I learned my claims to screw down accordingly). Ingenious is the location of the hotel. Right on Espanola Way. Mediterranean-ADAPTED street with restaurants, shops and cafes. In Italy or Spain, the atmosphere could not be better.
But now to my beautiful day. I slept long and phone calls from the bed with Janice, my parents and my grandfather. I have brought out from the corner with a delicious cappuccino and rolls and during the breakfast in my room a bit "Beverly Hills Cop I" looked on television. Then it went to the beautiful beach to read. Devour Bill Bryson's just "roaming through the West." After a brief dip in the Atlantic Ocean swimming, eating a cake we went to Starbucks and enjoy a venti (a number larger than grande) cappuccino. Back at the hotel I had my "8-day beard shaved showered, and dozed a round on the bed. 
And I could watch via TV, just like Klitschko Byrd has beaten up the poor. Then dinner was announced. So I went down the Cafe Nuvo, and have even eaten again delicious dinner and great atmosphere "absorbed." Funnily enough I read then Bryson's travel reports of Italy (which has indeed fit great). Now I'm sitting in an internet cafe and I was informed a little about the Caribbean. If my "Caribbean travel" becomes more expensive than expected (already pay $ 115 US / night for my hotel in San Juan) shortening my time there and maybe get some home early (or stay longer somewhere else). We'll see!

We finally got to edit the CD by Jochen at least in part, and, under www.weltensendler.de in "Pictures / Images" in addition to the image-link "Big Fish Encounter" is a link " videos " inserted where you can download the 3 packages a 12 video sequences (ZIP file). The files are between 16 and 21 MB in size. If someone has not unzip or Windows Media Player on the page also contains links to these programs.
